dc.description.abstractThis thesis aims to choose the best laser coating powder system among experimented materials and to estimate the useful life of specific laser coated pump parts. Slurry pumps in mineral processing are parts which erode away very quickly. Erosion is dominantly caused by abrasion from fine particles of the ore. Due to its cause, the process of erosion takes place on impeller blades and cover plates which have direct contact with the slurry
