This bachelor work reviews the analysis and diagnosis of automobile engines with the use of vibration. In recent years, it has been proven that vibration analysis is not only applicable for the fault detection of bearings and gears but also automobile engines. The aim of this research work is to monitor, diagnose and detect faults in an automobile engine by conducting vibration analysis. A professional car diagnostic tool was used in order to lower the costs of operation. Moreover, vibration analysis was conducted to decrease the risk of catastrophic damage on automobile engines. Analysis was based on the measurement of the vibration data acquisition device. Spectrum analysis and Fourier Transform techniques were used to observe patterns in data. The research outcome is about automobile engine health and faults.
