In this bachelor thesis, new leaching agent glycine is introduce. We have done two different experiment in order to determine kinetics, leachability, favorite proportion of parameters including concentration of glycine, pH value and oxidizing agent. Firstly, copper minerals were bottle rolled in alkaline glycine solutions under ambient conditions with different parameters. Result of bottle roller test, we assumed the most favorable condition at pH value of 9, H2O2 is 0.5% and Cly5:Cu1 with copper extraction of 34% after 48h. The leaching kinetic investigations for malachite carried out in a glass reactor whereby process variables could be controlled, higher copper extractions rates were obtained. Kinetic analysis of malachite showed that the leaching processes are both controlled by diffusion through the product layer. We made assumptions and calculations for the experiments based on current literature and project.
